Avoiding Schemes, Scams & Rip-offs
/Seminar hosted by Assemblymember Tom Lackey, CSLEA's Kenny Ehrman to present identity theft segment
SACRAMENTO – California Statewide Law Enforcement FOP Lodge 77 Vice President Kenny Ehrman will join California Assemblymember Tom Lackey on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at a community seminar designed to help residents in Antelope Valley identify and avoid schemes, scams and rip-offs.
“Assemblymember Lackey, a retired CHP officer, knows all too well that there are some very dishonest people among us, who prey on the vulnerable in attempt to steal people’s money,” said Ehrman. “He has asked me to speak to his constituents about identity theft, something I’ve become an expert on, both as a DMV investigator, and yes, as a victim.”
In addition to identity theft, topics will include real estate and housing scams, what you need to know when you hire an attorney, and a consumer fraud presentation by the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer & Business Affairs.
Assemblymember Lackey will welcome and address attendees at 10:00 a.m.
The seminar is scheduled for
Saturday, October 8 from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon
City of Hope, Antelope Valley Community Resource Center
44151 15th St. West, Lancaster, CA 93534
